Caravaggio. Here we can admire the Medusa of this great innovator of Italian painting (Michelangelo Merisi from Caravaggio near Bergamo, 1573 - 1610), who exercised enormous influence on European painting of the XVII Century and left traces even in the art of the grat Dutchman, Rembrandt (the next room); the famous Young Bacchus, who in this canvas, from Olympian God became a young peasant; the Sacrifice of Isaac, an intensely dramatic scene captured in moviment. Also represented in this room is Annibale Carracci, one of the master of the Bolognese school, artist of Venus with Satyr and Putti, with the warm golden tones of obvios Venetian influence.
