1o Day AM, visit the Archeological Museum of Florence" (from 9.00 AM to 2.00 PM except on Monday): Etruscan and Roman collection (2/3 hrs). Excavations of Santa Reparata in the crypt of the Duomo (open every-day except Sunday from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM).
Later you can stroll as far as Piazza Signoria. When you get there, turn right and take the narrow street called "Via Calimaruzza". In the basement of the building N. 3 you can cleary see traces of an ancient roman road with its original stone paving and the remnants of the Roman Gate dating back to I century B.C. (ask the porter of the building). More ruins of the Roman town are to be seen in the Restaurant "Castelvecchi " located in the basement of a building (N. 6) giving onto the Piazza Signoria.
2oDay AM, visit the Museum "Firenze Com'era"(florence as it was) 2 hrs. In the afternoon take a drive through the beautiful countryside around Florence to the hill town of Fiesole to see theEtruscan and Roman remnants. Visit the Roman Theathre and the Archeological Museum (half-day).
